Most likely! If you're running Windows 7+ or MacOS 10.10+, you should be good to go!
Browse and open files in the Oxygen Enterprise folder just as you would a normal folder. However, files are not synchronized and folders are not expanded until you need them. An unexpanded personal folder is shown as .cloudfx, an unsynced file is shown as .cloudx, and an unexpanded shared space is shown as .space. Not automatically syncing all of your data dramatically accelerates file access and is one of the greatest benefits to using Oxygen Enterprise
To open a file, double-click the file like you would a normal file. Oxygen Enterprise automatically synchronizes and opens the file. Once synchronized, a file is physically on your desktop and immediately available to use, even when you are offline.
To browse a folder/space, double-click the folder like you would a normal folder/space. Oxygen Enterprise automatically expands and opens it.
Note: You must have a network connection to storage to synchronize files and expand folders.
To unsync a file or a folder, just right click it, and select "Unsync" - Voila! You have your disk space back, and your files are still safely stored in the cloud!
If you want to share a file to someone who isn't using Oxygen Enterprise, just right click the file, and select "Share Link", then select the options you want, and either copy the link to your clipboard to share later, or email it to the person you want to share with!
Things we don't recommend syncing...
There aren't a whole lot of things in this list, but as a general rule, you'll want to avoid keeping live database files (like QuickBooks, or your Outlook PST file) in Oxygen Enterprise - since these files can change hundreds of times a second, and Oxygen wants to keep all versions of your files safe, this can rapidly lead to running out of storage space, and saturating your network connection.
Don't move spaces around on your desktop
Since shared spaces can be on different servers in different datacenters (in different countries!), and some might be on private storage, while others are on Oxygen Cloud owned storage, you won't be able to move spaces around, or nest spaces within other spaces. The client will let you know if you're trying to do this, and won't let you, so if you keep moving a folder around only to have it bounce right back to where it started, make sure you're not trying to move a space!
Deleting .cloudf and .cloud files will delete your actual files
If you delete a .cloudf or .cloud file, you're telling the cloud that you want to delete the real file! Make sure that you don't accidentally wipe out your files by deleting the cloud files!
Just send us a quick message below and someone from the Oxygen Cloud team will get back to you as soon as possible.
